Hello! Let me introduce myself – I’m Anabel. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had a scientific side and I loved animals. I come from Montmagny, a small town near the lower St. Lawrence River. Coming from a more rural environment, I’ve been around several breeds of animals throughout my life, and I even own a cow named Chouette! I moved to Saint-Hyacinthe at the age of 16 to pursue animal health care technology. I’m a recent graduate from the Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe (2023). During my studies, I had the opportunity to do various internships, both in research environments with mice and with elephants in Thailand! I also completed an internship in an ophthalmological setting, which made me fall in love with eyes. I have been working in a veterinary hospital as an assistant technician for almost 4 years and I am excited to start my career as a technician with the Ophtalmo-Veterinaire team!
